About Tyler

CEO and Principal Designer, Tyler Swartzmiller, started in the building industry with his family’s construction business in the early 2000s and has excelled in the remodeling industry since then. After graduating with honors from the Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati, Tyler joined a high-end interior design firm in Cincinnati and quickly moved into the Lead Designer position and participated in the 2009 Cincinnati Homerama and NKY home shows.

In 2010 Tyler moved into residential remodeling when he joined CAC By Design in Cincinnati. Ohio where he oversaw 8 designers across 4 showrooms. However, when a television production company presented a one-of-a-kind offer in 2012, Tyler seized the opportunity to be the main designer on a DIY Network pilot. The show proved to be an instant success and Tyler appeared on select kitchen and bath design projects during the show’s first season.

Tyler moved to Columbus, Ohio in 2014 to be closer to family and quickly moved into the Lead Designer and Sales Manager position of The JAE Company. In 2018, Tyler was recognized by the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) within their Thirty Under 30 Program as an outstanding young professional and later that year launched his design firm, Haus Studio.
